GAME, SET, MATCH Late yesterday, former potential DNC chair candidate Harold Ickes endorsed Howard Dean for that position. Considering that Ickes is the Clintons' guy, and the Clintons are said to be the wailing wunderkind's main opposition — not to mention that he has double the support of the next-most endorsed candidate, ex-Rep. Martin Frost (who did all he could to disguise his Democratic affiliation in his failed re-elect bid last year) — isn't the contest over? I guess Dean did have another seeming sure thing fall apart this time last year, but don't count on a repeat. |
